Waterloo Tennis Club

MD, WD, MXD: July 10-11

Early morning warm-ups at the beautiful Waterloo Tennis Club, and the weather?.......Flawless!

Here's the registration scene before dozens of "hungry" players descended on the players' packages!
Group Calisthenics (warm-ups?) are growing in popularity on the Tour!

Looks like the beginning of a shift at a Japanese car factory!

Marten Johnston kept us in line all weekend, as usual!
Mickey Kozlowski (a.k.a. the new guy) kept us well looked after, too, including great lunches!

Bryan Li was on hand once again, with the "Head Racquet Only" clinics....like anyone needed to practise!?
Eddie Echeverria also kindly donated his time to put on a little clinic magic of his own!

Incoming!
Classic Chris!

Whose turn is it, anyway?
I have never seen these Tour players move so fast, except at the lunch table!

A quiet moment on Court 2
Oleuchi Ezurike not only put us through our warm-ups, but she and her staff also provided professional on-site massage the whole weekend!

At the end of a beautiful Saturday, Shirley Fenton and Pat Craton (right) took the women's "B" honours in a close match (8-6) over Linda Snider and Sue Yagi
The women's "A" featured a new "A" champion.  Louise Thompson (a.k.a. new "A" champion) and Sandra Barrett squeaked past Gwen Chiasson and Kim Hutt-Taylor in a tie-breaker!

In the Men's "B" final, Bryan Li (pictured here almost by himself!), and Jim Kopperson defeated Ed Hall and Chris Cvas, 8-5
The men's "A" final saw defending champions Scott Barrett and Matt Brown (left) repeat the feat over Trevor Bechtel and Attila Schwarze, 8 to something.

The weather stayed with us Sunday for some Mixed action

Lorraine Harbin and Brent Gillett (right) topped Lee Hatton and Gwen Chiasson for the "B" title, by a score that is too embarrassing to mention here!

In the last match of the weekend, Robin Walker and Matt Brown (right) took out Cinderella story finalists Sandra Barrett and Joe Hock, for the "A" title

....and Jackie was no help!

Despite a tough day at the office, these two look like happy campers!
We also held a wildly popular Win, Place, or Show fun contest for great prizes

In the end, Jeff Guse came out on top with some great Tennis Master Canada 2004 tickets!

Other winners included Brent Gillett, Marie Kuleba, Ed Hall, among others....

That's all for now, until we re-convene at Victoria Park, Cambridge, on July 24-25.

This will be your last opportunity to win Tennis Masters Canada 2004 tickets on the Tour, because the event starts that weekend!

Bye for Now!

Scott & Sandra
